On February 26, 2011, Fedja and Diana pledged their love to each other, uniting together as husband and wife.

We wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

Just Us

Kemal and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary this week so I thought it’s a good time to take a look back at pictures of us throughout years.

Some of the pictures we took of ourselves by using a tripod and remote. Most of the other pictures were taken by my father and our friend Vanja.  … [read more]

I kept a journal when Kemal and I made a road trip out West with my parents, and I’d like to share it with you.

We made a lot of photos, and Kemal also made a few short videos, so you can see some … [read more]

Reunion at the Back Door

It was great to spend time catching up with people we haven’t seen in a long time, as well as to hang out with people we normally only see at work. We definitely had too much fun, and some of us *cough, cough* had too much to drink. I certainly enjoyed my mai … [read more]

Our Bathroom

I love our bathroom which has bright splashes of yellow, orange, magenta, green, and blue. It’s fun, whimsical, and definitely the cheeriest room in our little apartment.

The beautiful painting on the wall, which my photo doesn’t do justice, was painted by my mother 20 or 30 years ago. I’m always reminded of the Gulf of … [read more]

Impressions of Nature

Lonely leaves hang on tenaciously to trees before falling gently to the ground or before being blown away by a crisp autumn breeze. Barren trees brave the elements, withstanding the bitter cold, ice and snow. Springtime blooms emerge forth to brighten the landscape with color and life. Blue skies, green grass, and bright sunshine make … [read more]

A Trip Down Memory Lane…to Indiana

Much of my childhood was spent growing up in Indiana, and like Kentucky, it’s a wonderful place to live. In the summer of 2007, Kemal and I accompanied my parents on a road trip to Johnson County, Indiana and Indianapolis, Indiana to see our old “stomping grounds.” We wanted to see if the familiar places … [read more]

Looking Beyond the Obvious for Beauty: Photographing Puddles, Dumpsters, Smudges, Shadows, and Caustics

Our world is filled with beauty…much of it obvious and in plain sight. Most everyone would agree that nature provides us with many wondrous, awe-inspiring, and magnificent sights such as sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, flowers, mountains, oceans, forests, birds, water falls, glaciers, clouds, etc. There are also many man-made things around us, such as architecture, paintings, … [read more]

The Ohio River: Louisville, Kentucky

Louisville, Kentucky has been our home since the early 1990’s, and the Ohio River is a place where we enjoy spending time. It’s a great place to hang out to watch the boats and barges go by, to have lunch or dinner, to enjoy a walk, or just sit and soak up some sun rays … [read more]
