They can be used for all your favorite sandwiches. After making these buns, I had a leftover egg yolk, as well as some leftover egg white that needed to be used, so I just made myself an omelet (without cheese), and then put it and some tomato slices on the bun and made a sandwich. Oh man it was so good!!!
Tonight we’re making veggie burgers with cauliflower, so these buns will be perfect for them!
You can also use ‘em to make grilled cheese sandwiches, tuna salad sandwiches, or sloppy Joes. Trust me, your family’s not only gonna love the smell of freshly baked bread, but they’ll also gonna love how these buns taste a whole lot more than the store-bought ones! And what’s great is that if you want hot dog buns, all you got to do is just shape them differently! Is that cool or what??!!
Okay…you ready to make some?!
Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns in a Jiffy
Recipe Slightly Adapted from: One Frugal Foodie

Homemade hamburger buns have been on my “to do” list for quite awhile now, and these look just delicious!! I can only imagine how much better they taste than store-bought!
Thanks, Julie! You have a couple of incredible hamburger recipes on your site that’s making me crave a big juicy burger right now! As much as I love veggie burgers and am looking forward to some leftover ones tonight, I keep seeing your Tumbleweed Burger with that onion ring on it and it’s making my mouth water!
Even my hamburger buns are calling out for them! LOL!
So glad you enjoyed the recipe Sheila. They turned out beautiful! Good to know the agave works well too.
Thanks again, Alisa!
