Candied Citrus Peel

I recently made some candied tangelo peel for a recipe, but I grated it finely so it would mix well with the other ingredients. It tasted so good that Kemal and I could hardly resist nibbling on it all prior to using it for our recipe. Since we enjoyed it so much, I decided to just make us some candied citrus peel to enjoy as a snack this evening. :)

I’ll definitely make it again…not only just to enjoy as a sweet snack, but to also use as a garnish on top of cupcakes. :) You can use any type of citrus peel you like…orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangelo, tangerine, etc. I think it would look pretty to mix and match them. Store them in an airtight container…if you’re lucky enough to have any leftover that is. :)
