Frozen Vanilla Yogurt (Made without an Ice Cream Machine)

Last night I decided I wanted to make some rum-poached pears and then top them with some frozen vanilla yogurt. I didn’t have any frozen yogurt in the house though, so this was the perfect opportunity for me to make it myself. :) I had a container of plain yogurt in the fridge, so I decided to give it a whirl. I have to tell you it turned out great! I’m looking forward to making frozen yogurt with all kinds of flavors…chocolate, espresso, mango, strawberry, raspberry, peach, and…well…you get the picture. :) But for now, I’m enjoying every single bite of my scrumptious vanilla yogurt with sprinkled with cinnamon and vanilla sugar. :)

By the way, the vanilla that you add to the yogurt will turn your yogurt a light brown color. I know that when you purchase frozen vanilla yogurt and/or ice cream in the store it’s white, but the light brown color is how it really looks when you add vanilla, especially when you add as much as I do. :) I’ve seen a clear vanilla extract for sale in Michael’s in the baking section, but I prefer all-natural flavors without added colors and/or preservatives. :) Alright, are you ready to make some frozen yogurt?
