The bread ended up tasting really good despite me making a serious mistake. I accidentally added way too much yeast because I didn’t read the recipe closely enough. The recipe I used called for 1 ounce of fresh yeast. I didn’t notice that important word, “fresh.” When using dry active yeast, you use less yeast than you would if you’re using fresh. You need about half as much dry active yeast as you do fresh yeast.
The very big boo-boo I made with yeast resulted in me ending up with one gigantic loaf of bread. It wouldn’t fit on any platter I had; it hung over the edge. The hole of the bread also basically closed up. While the bread didn’t look very pretty because of my mistake, fortunately, it tasted fine.

I also added 2 extra tablespoons of honey than the recipe called for.
